William (Bill) T. Conard, 58, of South Bend passed away suddenly on March 7th at his residence.

                  Bill was born on November 28, 1955 in South Bend to the late John Jr. and Margaret Ellen (Hite) Conard. He was a lifetime resident of the Michiana area.

Bill was employed at Value Tool Production where he worked as a machinist.

                  Bill is survived by his soul mate of 21 years Brenda S. Newport of South Bend, one daughter; Meaghan J. Conard of South Bend, one son; William (Billy) T. Conard of New Carlisle, one stepson; Michael W. (Rebecca) Newport of South Bend, two sisters; Charlene (Gary) Applegate and Debbie (Randy) Sheneman both of South Bend, and one brother; David C. Conard of South Bend.  He also survived by four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother Charles O. Conard on June 12, 1999.

Bill loved hunting, fishing, and watching NASCAR.  He was also an animal lover.

Bill was a loving person who will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him during his life journey.

Visitation hours will be Thursday March 13th from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Hanley and Sons “Southwest Chapel” Funeral Home located at 23421 State Road 23 / West Ireland Road South Bend. Services will be Friday March 14th at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Ken Fetter officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests all memorial contributions be made to American Diabetes Association, 115 S Lafayette Boulevard, South Bend, IN 46601, Pet Refuge, 4626 Burnett Drive, South Bend, IN 46614 or donor’s choice.

DEAR FAMILY,BILL WAS A GOOD MAN, SWEET COMPASSIONATE AND WELL LOVED.HE HAD A WONDERFUL LAUGH AND WAS ALWAYS GOOD FOR ONE.HE WAS COMPASSIONATE AND GIVING,TWO WONDERFUL QUALITIES.I WILL MISS KNOWING HE IS ON THIS EARTH,BUT KNOW HE WILL WATCH OUT FOR ALL OF US,FROM OUT THERE.HE HAS LEFT A LEGACY IN HIS CHILDREN,OUR BILLY AND MEAGHAN.
