So many sweet memories come flooding back of times spent with Dori... a roaring fire blazing in the woodburning stove on winter days, the smell of a Sunday dinner (no one, but no one could cook a Sunday meal like her and Barb!), playing darts on the backyard deck on a summer's day, fishing, wood chopping or heading up to the cabin near Reed City, MI. She made everything OK and brought a sense of calm wherever she was, and sometimes that took a lot of effort. She taught me you can accomplish big things in small steps, like you can create a big pile of wood carrying just one log at a time. There wasn't anyone she wouldn't lend a hand to. There wasn't anyone she wouldn't give her heart to. There wasn't anyone in need she wouldn't reach out to. The hole you leave on this earth is bigger that you think, Dori. Rest in sweet peace. You've earned it. I'll see you on the other side.
