David J. Marvin, 57 of Mishawaka passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 at home with his family by his side.

He was born on December 28, 1959 in South Bend to William D. and Barbara A. (Bokory) Marvin.

On March 17, 1997 in Plymouth he married Dawn M. Soulia Berger who survives.

He is also survived by three daughters, Kristine (Michael Sedlock) Yantis of Elkhart, Stephanie (Matthew Rice) Soulia and Amber (fiancé Lawrence) Vega both of South Bend; a son, Jedidiah Berger of Mishawaka; ten grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, a sister, Debra J. (Marty Rawlston) Shidaker of South Bend and two brothers, Gregg W. Marvin of Mishawaka and Gary W. (Lancie) Marvin of South Bend.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara A. Marvin on June 20, 2009.

He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator and was a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local #150.

David enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was said to be a jack of all trades by his family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 22nd from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel” located at State Road 23/W. Ireland Road, South Bend.  Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 23rd at 10:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Paul Lewis officiating.  Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.

The request memorial contributions be made to the Riverbend Cancer Services, 3516 East Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, IN 46615.

The HANLEY and Sons Funeral Home handled arrangements, services and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Marvin family.

Dave introduced me to my late husband many years ago. I have known him for along time he is married to a very dear friend of mine. Dawn and family I am so sorry for your lost.. You guys were there with me when I lost Clif, Love you guys
