Patrick A. Culp, 63 of South Bend passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Millers Merry Manor, Walkerton with his family by his side.

He was born on March 17, 1954 in South Bend to the late Anne (Hicks) Defebaugh.

On August 19, 1978 in South Bend he married Deanna J. Frick who survives.

Patrick is also survived by his children, Stacy J. (Simon, Jr.) Rodriquez and Kyle A. Culp both of South Bend; three grandchildren, Alexis, Caleb and Ashlyn, whom he loved and cherished and a brother, Michael (Tammy) Culp of Mishawaka.

Prior to his illness he worked at Lock Joint Tube in South Bend. Patrick was a member of Calvary Chapel Church in Granger.

Patrick enjoyed going bowling, playing softball, tennis and watching sports, his favorite teams were Notre Dame, White Sox, Black Hawks and the Chicago Bears.

Patrick will be dearly missed by his loving family and numerous friends he made during his life’s journey.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 24th from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel” located at State Road 23/W. Ireland Road, South Bend.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 25th at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Bob Moore officiating.  Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to ALS Association – Indiana Chapter, 6525 E. 82nd Street, Suite 115, Indianapolis, IN 46250, Harbor Light Hospice, 1820 East Day Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545 or Millers Merry Manor, 500 Walkerton Trail, Walkerton, IN 46574.

Stacy, Kyle, Deanna & Michael ~ I am so sorry for the loss of your husband, father & brother. Lexy, Caleb & Ashlyn so sorry for the loss of your grandfather. My family sends our deepest condolences.
