Sharon L. Urquhart, 78, of Niles, MI, passed away at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN on Thursday, May 3rd, with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Niles, MI to the late Max F. and Beulah L. (Gilbert) Albrecht, on April 11, 1940.

Sharon is survived by her daughters; Shelley J. Wiegand of North Liberty, IN, Sherri A. (Milton) Cobb of Tampa, FL and Sheila M. (Jonathan) Rayl of South Bend, IN along with her grandchildren Erik (Shannon) Cobb, Russell Barker III, Lauren (Justin) Monroe, Rockne Barker, Jonathan Rayl, Jr, Erika Rayl and Thomas Rayl, and eleven great-grandchildren all whom she loved and cherished.

She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild, her sister, Mary L. Brewer and ex-husband, Richard L. Urquhart.

Sharon retired as a truck driver for Schnieder Trucking then worked at the South Bend International Airport. She also worked at Osteopathic Hospital years ago as an LPN.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlework, going fishing, Facebook, an avid Notre Dame Football fan, watching golf but especially being with her loving family for the great cookouts in the summertime.

Sharon will be dearly missed by her loving family, church family and numerous friends she made through her life journey.

She was a member of the Huntley Memorial Baptist Church, Niles, Red Hat Society and was a Ham Radio Operator for many years.

Memorial contributions can be made to the family at P.O. Box 535, Lakeville, IN. 46536, to help defray funeral expenses.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 7th from 11:00 A.M.to 1:00 P.M. with funeral service beginning at 1:00 P.M. at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel”, located at State Road 23/W. Ireland Road, South Bend, IN.

The Hanley and Sons Funeral Home handled arrangements, services and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Urquhart family.
