Nancy J. Cass, 68, of South Bend passed away unexpectedly on Thursday October 18, 2018 at her residence.

  Nancy was born on May 3, 1950 in South Bend to the late Paul V. and Virginia R. (Scheffler) Engle.

 On January 3, 1969 in South Bend, Nancy married David R. Cass, who survives.

  She is survived by her sons, Christopher D. (Theresa) Cass of South Bend, IN; and Timothy R. Cass of Elkhart, IN.  Also surviving is her sister Sandra K. (Dwayne) Bourdon of Cassopolis, MI, and brother Paul V. (Mary) Engle Jr. of Bloomington, IN., and three grandchildren, Christa, Ben, and Sam.

  Nancy retired from Merry Maid Services of South Bend, IN., after several years of service.

  She enjoyed reading and cooking and was an avid dog lover.

  She will be dearly missed by her loving family and numerous friends she made during her life journey.

  Her wishes were to be cremated, which her loving family honored.

 The family request memorial contributions be made to the Center for Hospice, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.  There will be no visitation hours or services at this time.

 The HANLEY and Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services handled arrangements and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Cass family.

I was so sorry to read of Nancy's passing...Went to German Twp. Elementary, Clay and LaSalle High School with her... Remember when she worked at G.L. Perry at LaSalle Square also. Just saw her at the LaSalle 50th reunion in July. I'll remember her being at the reunion... she looked like she was having such a good time... Will be good to remember her that way.

My condolences to her family... So many times on Facebook she mentioned her love for you.
