I was so very sorry to hear about Robert's death. What a wonderful companion and friend he was to our family - especially our father, Joseph T. Cecil. Home Instead did a perfect job matching the two of them. Both were in the U.S. Navy - our Dad for 20 yrs. They had so much in common. Thanks to Robert's wonderful care, Dad was able to remain in his home for quite some time before his dementia became severe enough that he had to move to a memory unit assisted living facility. Wishing all his family and friends many wonderful memories. Robert will be remembered.

I just read the post my sister, Jill, left as she sent me an email of Robert's passing. I couldn't agree with her more. Home Instead seemed to match him and my dad, Joseph Cecil well. I know my dad enjoyed Robert's visits. One morning when I was heading back home to West Lafayette, Robert arrived and sat at the kitchen table. My dad came out of his room with his coat and hat on and said, "Hey, that guy came to take me out to lunch" (or something to that effect). Robert heard him and said, "Well, we have to have breakfast first." That got my dad into the kitchen to sit down and have some hot chocolate. Robert helped us get my dad into an assisted living facility when his dementia got worse and I don't know how we could have done it without him. He even cried when he left showing what a special relationship they had. He also came to my dad's viewing when he died. So sorry for your loss. Robert was a great man.

Robert Kaercher was a very good man. I knew him through Parents without Partners. Her was the treasurer at his passing. Lyn and Robert were often at the PWP birthday parties. As a matter of fact, Robert was the host of one of the most recent ones. Blessings to you dear Robert. May you rest in peace. My sincere sympathy to Lyn and your entire family. You will be missed.
