   Edward P. Jenkins, 55, passed away suddenly in his residence on Thursday, February 25th.

   Edward was born on October 15, 1965 in Elgin, IL to the late Ernest R. Jenkins and Linda L. (Walstrom) Kopcak.  Edward is survived by his sister, Lorri L. Rowan of Cleveland, OH and two brothers, John F. (Janet) Jenkins and Ernest R. (Jamie) Jenkins both of Grayson, KY, a special niece, Shelli Jenkins of Grayson, KY and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Shelli A, Jenkins and Wendy J. VanGor.

   Edward was a resident of the Michiana area for the last twenty-eight years coming from Cleveland, OH. He was a Master Chef at Tippecanoe Place for the last twenty-seven years. Also, he was a chef for many political leaders and dignitaries throughout the years. He loved being a Master Chef and will be greatly missed by numerous friends he made during his life journey. He was loved by numerous family and friends and be loved working long hours.

  He truly enjoyed cooking, racquetball, all sports but especially the Cleveland Browns, Notre Dame and any contact sport. He was involved in the American Culinary Federation Apprentice Program.

   Memorial contributions may be made in Edwards name to, South Bend Blood Bank, 530 North Lafayette Boulevard, South Bend, IN 46601.

   A service will be held in Cleveland, OH at a later date. Cremation has taken place.

   The Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel” handled local arrangements and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Jenkins family.

Chef Ed was one in a million. My son Joe worked for him- such an amazing man with a big heart. Thanks for all you have been to so many. You will be missed.
R.I.P. Chef, you will be in our hearts forever.

I knew Ed from Tippecanoe Place and I'll miss him very much. Always easy to work with and Ed was always there. Glad we were able to work with each other. My heart goes out to Janet and John and the rest of the Family.

I worked with Chef Ed many years ago at Tippecanoe Place. He was such a kind man and a talented chef! I am so sad to hear of his passing. He will be greatly missed by so many in the community. Rest In Peace, Chef!
