Edward D. Hanson, 67, of South Bend, passed away on April 4th at the Ernestine M. Raclin House of Mishawaka after an extended illness.
Edward was born to Harold Edward and Rosalee Ann (Six) Hanson, on September 12, 1956, in Laporte, Indiana. He grew up in North Liberty and graduated from North Liberty High School in 1974. He went on to attend classed at Andrews University in Berrien Springs before eventually moving to Texas. He lived in Texas for many years before returning to South Bend.
Edward is survived by his son; Kyle (Meredith) Stein and their daughter, Kyleigh Stein of Ft. Worth, Texas and his son; Julian (Morgan) Hanson and their children, Hunter Hanson, Liam Hanson, Jeremiah Kelley and Emily Chapman of Colon, Michigan. Ed is also survived by his loving mother, Rosalee Ann (Six) Hanson of Bremen, IN and his brothers; John H. Hanson of South Bend, Scott M. (Elizabeth) Hanson of Rolla, ND and Jason L. Hanson of Bremen, IN. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold in 1977.
As per his wishes cremation is to take place. A graveside service will be held at a later date when his ashes will be laid to rest at the Eastlawn Cemetery in North Liberty. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to his family, c/o Hanley and Sons Funeral Home.
