Holly C. Moon, 74, of South Bend, passed away on the evening of Sunday, February 25, 2024, in her home from an extended illness.
Holly was born on January 14, 1950, in South Bend, to the late William F. and Selma Jean (Peterson) Moon. She grew up in the North Liberty area. She was employed at Haas Concrete for 23 years and was the Secretary for over 40 years at Help at Home in South Bend, where she retired to take care of her mother during her illness.
Holly was a great cook and enjoyed baking as well. She enjoyed tending to her garden and spending time outdoors. She was also an amateur photographer and enjoyed taking photos of whatever beauty caught her eye. She especially loved being with her family and friends whenever she could.
Holly is survived by her loving companion, Jack W. Marlin of Charlestown, Indiana, by her brother, Murry S. (Sandy) Moon of Indianapolis and by her two nephews, Brian Moon of Indianapolis and Derek Moon of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, Patrick D. Moon.
Holly was loved by numerous friends and co-workers; she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Holly’s family is following her wishes to be cremated with no services. Memorial contributions, in honor of Holly, can be made to the Pet Refuge, Inc., 4626 S. Burnett St., South Bend, IN 46614.
