TO THE FAMILY OF RICHARD SHAFER

MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AT THIS TIM. I WAS BLESSED TO CARE FOR RICHARD FOR 2 YEARS AS A PERSONAL ASSISTANT AT HIS HOME THROUGH LOGAN.
HE WAS JOY AND HE KEPT ME LAUGHING WHEN I WOULD ASK HIM IF "I HAD LOST WEIGHT AND HE WOULD SAY NOPE".

HE IS NOW IN HEAVEN WAKING AND REJOICING ON THE STREETS OF GOLD. TAKE JOY IN KNOWING THAT YOU PARENTS, FRIENDS AND FAMILY WERE THERE WITH HIM.

LOVE AND PRAYERS

We send our deepest sympathy for your loss.
Earth lost a good man and heaven gained him. Rich (as Tony calls him) was so kind & gentle. Tony was so fortunate to have Rich in his life and Tony loves him like a brother.
Rich will be missed. I pray that God comforts you during this time.

Norm and Nancy, our hearts are broken for you. We will miss Richard very much. He was our friend and brought us joy whenever we saw him. We're sure he is organizing the angels in Heaven by telling them to "Sit down now!" May you find peace and comfort in your memories of Rich and in knowing you helped him to live his life to the fullest.

To the family of one of my best friends.
Nancy and Norm I send my deepest condolences, I can't even explain how much Rich meant to me and my family, my children called him their brother. Everyone around me knew that he was my favorite and most likely if you saw me, you saw Rich. I remember standing next to him and he would grab my hand to hold it and look at me and laugh and then tell me to sit down, sit down right now and 9 out of 10 times I obeyed. You see you had the upper hand. I will miss my friend, my front seat rider (because he wouldn't have it any other way), my purse organizer (sometimes without my knowledge until I find my lip gloss in my wallet) and the man who taught me exactly how special a person with special needs is. I love you my friend and you will truly be missed. Now you can save me a front seat in heaven, rest easy my Richie. Love Joann
