 John F. Stoers, Sr. 77 of South Bend, passed away in his home with his loving family by his side, on Sunday, March 15th, after short illness.

 John was born on June 19, 1942 to the late Roy and Florence Maxine (Starr) Stoers. 

 On June 24, 1960 in South Bend he married the love of his live, Judith K. Ciesiolka. Judith survives along with his daughter, Debra K. (Michael) Wolff of North Liberty, his son, Christopher J. (Brenda) Stoers of Dowagiac, MI along with eleven loving grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and four great-great-greatgrandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents, son, John F. Stoers, Jr. on December 23, 2015, one great-greatgrandchild and two sisters.

 John was a lifetime resident of the Michiana area. He retired from Indiana-Michigan Electric Company after thirty-two years of service. He was honored to served in the United States Army.

 He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars, bowling and especially, being with his loving family. John was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 153.

  Memorial contributions may be made in John’s name to Pet Refuge, 4626 Burnette Drive, South Bend, IN 46614.

 Private family service and burial will tale place at a later date. Cremation has taken place.

 The HANLEY and Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services handled arrangements and extends it deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Stoers family.
