Brandon E. Northam, 49 of South Bend, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Saturday, May 14th.
Brandon was born in South Bend on June 15,1972 to Leonard R. and Deborah S. (Fields) Northam of Walkerton. He is survived by his parents, sister, Theresa (Tod) S. Jacobson of Plymouth, IN. He was a wonderful uncle to Chloe Jacobson, Julia (Parker) Haynes and Cole Jacobson and he loved all of his aunts, uncles and cousins. Brandon was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clarence and Ethel Fields and paternal grandparents, Leonard and Clela Northam.
He was a 1991 graduate of John Glenn High School and had been employed in the aluminum industry for thirty years, most recently an extrusion supervisor at Patrick Metal Corp. Brandon was an audiophile, who enjoyed listening to music and who loved to watch Sci-fi and action movies in his free time. He enjoyed golfing, home renovation, and cheering on Team USA in every Olympics, but spending time with family and friends was his greatest joy.
Cremation will take place and he will be laid to rest in the Porter Rea Cemetery in North Liberty. A celebration of his life is being planned for a future date. Memorial contributions may be made in Brandon’s name to the donor’s choice.
The Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel” handled arrangements and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayer to Brandon’s family and friends.
