Obituary
Caroline Ann (Brown) Krebs, 95, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Caroline was born on February 5, 1928, in Elkhart, IN to the late Robert H. and Eunice (Weaver) Brown. On May 8, 1953, in Elkhart, IN she married Thomas H. Krebs, who preceded her in death. Surviving is a daughter, Carole Lee Suchomel of South Bend and a step daughter, Darlene M. Carmin of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Also surviving are 5 loving grandchildren Kyle, Jeff, Dylan, Colleen, Sean and numerous great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews survive. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Thomas Kevin Krebs, a sister, Roberta P. Schrader, a brother, William I. Brown and a grandchild, Kristie.
Caroline graduated from Warsaw High School in 1946. She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed many hobbies such as reading a good book, shopping, traveling, and cooking. Most of all, Caroline enjoyed spending time with her family and wonderful friend, Peggy.
Caroline’s wishes were to be cremated and buried before graveside services. Burial was at Westlawn Cemetery, North Liberty. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
