Charles Davis, 84, of Walkerton passed away on Thursday, October 17th unexpectedly at home. Charles was born in South Bend to Harry and Doris (Hall) Davis on September 1, 1940. He worked for Wells Aluminum in North Liberty, retiring after 30 years of service. On October 28, 1964, he married the love of his life, Katherine. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was glad to be able to take his grandson squirrel hunting with him.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of almost 61 years, Katherine Lindsey, along with their daughters, Pamela Wilders, of Roselawn, Indiana and Peggy Davis of Walkerton. He was the proud grandfather of Lisa, Tiffany, Heather, Jamie and Derick. He is also survived by her sister, Sharon. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Paula Lynn Sells, his parents and siblings, Rose, Marylou, Aldora, Lilly, Betty and Shirley.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, October 23rd in the Hanley and Sons Funeral Home, 1216 Roosevelt Rd., Walkerton from 4:00 until 7:00pm. Friends will also be received one hour prior to the service which will be held Thursday morning, October 24th, at 11:00am. He will be laid to rest in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Walkerton.
