Daniel J. Gondocs

Daniel J. Gondocs, 41, of South Bend, passed into eternal rest on the morning of Friday, May 31, 2024, in his home.

Daniel was born on August 7, 1982, in South Bend to David J. Gondocs and Kay A. Basham.  He grew up and remained a lifelong resident to the area.  He loved cooking and being surrounded by his family.  In his spare time, he enjoyed playing video games and listening to rap music.  He was also a fireworks enthusiast.

Daniel was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Paul Basham, his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Veronica Gondocs, his uncles, Robert Gondocs and Kenny Basham, and by his cousin, Damien Gondocs.  He is survived by his mother, Kay A. Basham of South Bend, his father, David J. Gondocs of New Carlisle, by his two brothers, Joseph P. (Kathie) Gondocs of South Bend, and David M. (Lindsay) Gondocs of New Carlisle and by his maternal grandmother, Alice Bashman of South Bend.

Daniel was a loving soul and will be missed by his family and all who knew him.

Daniel’s wishes were to be cremated.  There will be a funeral service at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Hillside Missionary Church, 21567 W. Ireland Road, South Bend, IN 46614, where friends may visit with the family two hours prior to service.  Memorial contributions, in honor of Daniel, can be made to his family to help defray final expenses.
