Deloris Ann Young

Deloris Ann Young, 85, passed away December 9, 2025, at her Lisbon home.

She was born October 2, 1940, in Walkerton, Indiana, daughter of the late Arthur and Velma Gordon Barden.

Deloris was a resident of the area since 1990, coming from Lafayette, Indiana.  She was employed as a paralegal for the DeBartolo Corporation for many years and in medical billing at NEOMED in Boardman, Ohio.  She was an avid baker and gardener, but sincerely loved spending time with her grandchildren most of all.

Deloris is survived by her husband of almost 35 years, Jerry Young; sons, Scott (Cindy) Rickard and James (Marjorie) Adams; daughters, Lennae Rickard, Lorrae (Devon) Conley, Angela (Nat) Olinger, and Lisa Young; grandchildren, Misty Newport, Josh Rickard, Nathan Rickard, Stuart Childs, Philip Childs, Mitchel Bays, Erica Gardner, Jared Conley, Barrett Conley, Abigail Ferko, Olivia Dabone, Zachary Olinger and Zoe Olinger; 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Elson (Lynn) Bardon and sisters, Dorothy (Lamar) Kronk and Nancy (Carl) Shores; as well as 11 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Edward Barden.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 20, 2025 at the Hanley and Sons Funeral Home in Walkerton, Indiana from 11:00 - 1:00.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home with burial at Morris Cemetery in Indiana.
