  Earl D. Pickens, 77 of South Bend, passed away at Memorial Hospital of South Bend during the early afternoon hours of April 26th. Earl was born in Peru, Indiana on October 3, 1944, to the late Ray A. and Marjorie M. (Cress) Pickens.

  Earl proudly served his country in the United States Navy, being in charge of the flight deck, along with being a helicopter mechanic, during the Viet-Nam Conflict. Upon his honorable discharge he returned to the area. On June 19, 1998,...
