Elma Lucinda Gallegos, 76, South Bend of passed away of natural causes in her home surrounded by her loving family
Elma was born on March 18, 1945, in Adicora Del Distirito Falcon, Venezuela to Elena (Ramirez) Hernandez. Elma was married to Dionisio Gallegos. Elma is survived by her daughter, Ana Maria Gallegos of South Bend, Reymundo Jose Gallegos of Houston, TX and Christopher (Kimberly) Gallegos of Elkhart, three (3) grandchildren, Christopher E. Gallegos, Megan S. Gallegos and Daniel J. Gallegos. She is also survived by her sisters, Norma Hernandez and Irvis Hernandez of Venezuela and Zuly Hernandez of Italy and two (2) brothers, Emilio and Raimundo Hernandez of Venezuela. Elma was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Carmen Hernandez and brothers, Roberto Hernandez and Alcides Ramirez.
Elma came to the United States in 1965 and worked as a building services supervisor at the University of Notre Dame, before retiring in 2010. She enjoyed ceramics, gambling, crochet, but especially being with her loving family and grandkids.
The family will have visitation on Wednesday, December 15th from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel” located at 23421 State Road 23/West Ireland Road, South Bend.
Burial will take place at a later date.
