Eugene O. VanVynckt, Jr.

  Eugene O. VanVynckt, Jr., 71, passed away on June 12, 2021 at LaPorte Northwest Hospital in Laporte, IN with his loving family by his side.

  Eugene was born on June 6, 1950 in Mishawaka, IN to the late Eugene O. VanVynckt, Sr. and Vetrice Deboe.

   On December 27, 1969, in Battle Creek, MI he married Jane A. Lehman. Jane survives along with their two daughters, Sally VanVynckt of Plymouth, Sarah E. VanVynckt of South Bend, four sons, Eugene O. (Charlie) VanVynckt, III of Granger, Jerome L. VanVynckt of South Bend, Benjamin K. (Patricia) and Ethan A. VanVynckt both of South Bend. Also surviving are four loving grandchildren, Tapenga A., Charlize M., I’Eanna E. and Saint. Eugene is survived by his sisters, Susan Baker of Leesbury, FL, Lisa Davis of Winter Haven, FL and Diana Starkey of South Bend, along with a brother, Phillip VanVynckt of Vero Beach, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Robert L. VanVynckt on April 2, 2020 and Tobin A. VanVynckt on October 6, 2020, sister, Theresa VanVynckt in 2020 and brother, Jeffrey VanVynckt.

   Eugene was a carpenter for Kaser-Spraker Construction Company in South Bend, owned auto repair and Fondue Restaurant both of Mishawaka. He enjoyed hunting, cutting wood but especially, he loved being with and working with his family.

   In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions by made to: Shaohannah’s Hope, Inc. at P.O. Box 647, Franklin, TN 37065. 

  The family will have a Celebration Life for Eugene on July 31st, 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Plymouth Community Church located at 11802 Lincoln Highway, Plymouth, IN.
