Frank L. Holtsclaw, Jr., 66, of South Bend, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 29, 2023, in his home.
Frank was born on February 13, 1957 to Frank L. Holtsclaw, Sr. and Betty Jane (Alexandrowicz) Holtsclaw. He graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1976 where he played football for the Cavemen. Frank was a painter for a living. He also had a love for music and was a Karaoke D.J. pioneer to the South Bend area. In his spare time, Frank enjoyed restoring old cars and watching his beloved Chicago Bears.
Frank is survived by his mother, Betty Jane (Alexandrowicz) Holtsclaw of South Bend, by his daughter, Jessica (Chad) DeBeck of South Bend and by his four sons, Frank (Jill) Holtsclaw III, of South Bend, Brent (Caity) Holtsclaw of Oregon, Brock (Maranda) Holtsclaw of Michigan, and Johnathan (Heidi) Holtsclaw of South Bend and by his eight grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Tina (Don) Fiedler of Mishawaka, Theresa (Donnie) Keen of South Bend, and Darlene Miller of Virginia, and by two brothers, Jeff (Lisa) Holtsclaw of Fort Wayne, and Sean Holtsclaw of South Bend. Frank is preceded in death by his father, his two sons, William “Billy” Holtsclaw, and Christian Francis Holtsclaw, also by two sisters, Kathy Lisenko and Tammy King.
Frank’s family is following his wishes to be cremated. There will be a celebration to honor Frank’s life on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home "Southwest Chapel", 23421 S. R. 23, South Bend, IN 46614.
