Frederick D. Rouse

Frederick D. Rouse, 67, of South Bend, passed away unexpectedly on August 12^th at his residence.

Frederick was born in South Bend to Lemuel H. and Marguerite (Stewart) Rouse.  Upon graduation from high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Frederick worked as a truck driver and a taxi cab driver. He enjoyed reading, playing chess and bowling.

Frederick is survived by his daughter, Patricia Carter of Champaign, IL, and was the grandfather of 5. He is also survived by his siblings, Rosamond Ferguson of Gilbert, AZ, Kathy Stelivan of Springfield, IL, Rev. Dr. Michael Rouse of Flossmoor, IL, and Anthony Rouse of Gilbert, AZ. He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Long, and 3 brothers, Timothy, Kenneth and Gregory.

Memorial contributions may be made in Frederick’s name to the FIRST A.M.E. ZION CHURCH, 801 N. Eddy St. South Bend, IN 46617.

Cremation has taken place. No service is planned at this time.
