Gerald Allen Musch, Jr.

Gerald Allen Musch Jr., 75, of South Bend passed away on Saturday, January 4th in Cardinal Nursing and Rehabilitation of South Bend.

Gerald was born in Hammond, Indiana on June 27, 1949, to Gerald and Joanne (Harkema) Musch. Gerald was one of four children. He worked as a forklift driver for Sunstrand, worked at Ameriwood in Dowagiac, drove an Ambulance for the city of Cassopolis for a few years and delivered newspapers in his later years. He enjoyed lake-life, with swimming being a favorite pastime. He was an avid baseball fan and known to be in his garage fixing something or making something useful. Gerald’s greatest joy came from being with his family.

Gerald is survived by his daughters, Suzanne Musch of South Bend, Stephanie Musch of Cheifland, Florida, and stepdaughter, Michelle Wheeler of South Bend. He was the proud grandfather of 5, Steven, Jackson, Lilith, Hailey and Sharon. Gerald is also survived by his siblings, Sharon (Ron) Porter of Cedar Lake, Indiana, Bob (Joy) Musch of Hudson, Florida, and Ron (Edie) Musch of DeMotte, Indiana.

The family is following Gerald’s wishes to be cremated with no services.  He will be laid to rest in Holland Cemetery, in DeMotte, IN, at a later date.
