Irene L. (Campbell) Albert

Irene L. (Campbell) Albert, 57, of South Bend, passed into eternal rest on Sunday, September 3, 2023, in her home following an illness.

Irene was born on January 22, 1966, in Dowagiac, Michigan to the late Robert and Clarabelle Campbell.  On September 15, 1990, in South Bend, she married Timothy E. Albert, who survives.  Also surviving Irene is her daughter, Crystal Albert of South Bend, her son, Cameron (Savahana) Albert of South Bend, and her six loving grandchildren, Malachi, Saphire, Emerald, Galaxii, Ghoulden and Penelope, all whom she loved dearly.  She is also survived by her sisters, Brenda (Jeff) Bebee of Hastings, MI, Linda (Robert) Rutkowske of Niles, MI, and Betty (Praveen) Dwivedi of Detroit, MI and by a brother, Richard (Joni) Campbell of Dowagiac, MI.  She is preceded in death by her sisters, Peggy, Cindy and Alma.  

Irene was known for being a social butterfly and she would talk to anyone that crossed her path.  Her ability to talk to others was her asset working in the Customer Service department at Walmart.  She enjoyed spending her free time watching cooking shows, survivor shows, crime shows, and anything shown on the Discovery channel.   Irene’s true joy in her life was spending time surrounded by her family and friends.

There will be a Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in the Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel”, 23421 S. R. 23, South Bend, IN 46614, where friends may visit on Monday, September 11th, from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Irene’s family, 22055 Roosevelt Road, South Bend, IN 46614.
