Jane C. (Jolly) Carroll

Jane C. (Jolly) Carroll, 76, of South Bend, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from an extended illness.

Jane was born on September 28, 1946 in South Bend to the late Clarence and Mildred (Anderson) Jolly.  On November 16, 1968, in South Bend, she married John M. Carroll.  They shared 41 years of marriage until his passing on November 10, 2010.  Jane worked as a Resource Specialist at IN*SOURCE in South Bend.   In her spare time, she enjoyed reading a good book, shopping, and watching her favorite game show, Jeopardy.  Most of all, Jane enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Christine G. Carroll of North Liberty, by her son, Michael J. (Heather) Carroll of South Bend, by her stepdaughter, Kelly A. Grunawalt of Mishawaka, by her stepson Todd M. Carroll of Lakeville and by her six loving grandchildren, Brandon Carroll, Meghan Carroll, Ashley Grunawalt, Taylor Grunawalt, Gary Carroll, and James Carroll.  She is also survived by a sister, Judith (Del) Feltz of Jimtown.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a grandchild, Colleen Carroll. 

Jane’s family is following her wishes to be cremated.  There will be a celebration of Jane’s life on Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. in the Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel”, 23421 S. R. 23, South Bend, IN 46614.  Jane will be laid to rest in Westlawn Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Jane’s honor to the Raclin House Hospice, 535 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
