Joann C. Kurth, 89, of Mishawaka, passed away Saturday, January 18th at Golden Living Center in Mishawaka.
Joann was born on October 27, 1932 in Eau Claire, WI to the late Howard L. and Daphne (Christensen) Smith. She is survived by her loving family, daughter: Cindy (Glenn) McQueen of South Bend, sons, Ricky of Boardman, OH, Tony of Bangkok, Thailand, Paul (Kari) of Maine and Jay Kurth of Phoenix AZ, eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, brother, Ever Peter (Mary) Ellingstad of Oaklawn, IL, niece, Geneva Koleski, five great nephews, four great nieces, one great-grand nephew, five great-grand nieces and three great-grand nephews..
Joann came to the Michiana area from Greensburg, PA in 1997. She was a homemaker, employed in secretarial work and a care giver. Joann enjoyed crocheting, being a secretary, game player like Yahtzee and Bingo, church at Lakeside Baptist Church, in Lakeville, IN.
The family will have a Celebration of Life for Joann at a later date.
