Joseph E. Hans, 56, of Mishawaka, passed away at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center on Thursday, February 18th following an extended illness.
Joseph was born in South Bend on December 23, 1964 to Robert L. and Barbara A. (Dennis) Hans. He is survived by his father, Robert, sister, Karen D. (Robert) Olando of Mishawaka, niece, Lori (Dylan) Garvey, nephew, Joshua (Ashlee) Olando, numerous aunts and uncles, four great nieces and a great nephew. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara in 2004.
Due to his health, Joseph enjoyed making model military and model trains, gardening, motorcycling, but he enjoyed being with his loving family and friends. He was a graduate of Penn High School, Class of 1983.
Also, Joseph gave a good fight over the years with his medical situation.
He was a wonderful son, brother and loved his family beyond words. He will be dearly missed by his loving family.

Visitation will take place on Monday, February 22, 2021, 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel”, located at 23421 State Road 23, South Bend. The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 23rd at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka, IN.
