Joseph Vincent Tirotta, 61, of South Bend, passed away during the early morning hours of November 19th with his loving family by his side.
Joseph was born in South Bend to Frank P. and Virginia (Leodanski) Tirotta Sr., on April 12, 1961. Upon graduating from high school, Joe went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Tammy Armstrong on June 25, 1983, in the Holy Cross Catholic Church of South Bend. Joe enjoyed playing cards, especially poker with family during holidays, camping, playing corn hole and golf. Roller skating was a favorite past time and how he met the love of his life. His greatest joy came from being with his family.
Joe is survived by his loving wife Tammy and their three children: Kristen Jo Tirotta of South Bend, Kyle Joseph (Stephanie) Tirotta of LaPorte, and Aaron Joseph (Rachel) Tirotta of Granger. He was the proud grandfather of Demi Scott Tirotta. Joe is also survived by his siblings, Diane Whitfield and Roxanne (Randy) Bennett both of South Bend, Paul Tirotta of Mishawaka, Perry (Jodi) Tirotta of Granger, and Michael (Stacy) Tirotta of South Bend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Sr. and Virginia, along with a brother, Frank Tirotta, Jr.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, November 25th in the Hanley and Sons Funeral Home, Inc, 23421 State Road 23, South Bend from 1:00pm until 3:00pm and 5:00pm until 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am Saturday, November 26th at Holy Cross Catholic Church. He will be laid to rest in the Highland Cemetery of South Bend.
