Judith K. (Ciesiolka) Stoers, 82, of South Bend, passed away on the morning of Thursday, September 26, 2024, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center due to an extended illness.
Judith was born on January 16, 1942, in South Bend, to the late John F. and Evelyn M. (Sarec) Ciesiolka. On June 24, 1960, in South Bend, she married John F. Stoers, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son, John F. Stoers, Jr., and by her siblings, Patricia A. Worthy, James, Jerry, Thomas, Edward, and Billy Ciesiolka.
Judith spent her lifetime in the South Bend area. She was retired from Penn-Harrison-Madison School Corporation as a Janitor. In her retired years, she enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She also liked to go fishing. She was happiest when spending time with her loving family and her pets.
Judith is survived by her children, Debra (Michael) Wolff of North Liberty, and Christopher J. (Brenda) Stoers of Edwardsburg. She was the proud grandmother of eleven, great-grandmother of sixteen, and a great-great-grandmother. She is also survived by her sisters, Marcia M. (Paul) Erp of Mishawaka, and Nancy Erp of North Liberty and by a brother, David M. Ciesiolka of North Liberty.
The family is following Judith’s wishes to be cremated with no services at this time. There will be a celebration of Judith’s life at a later date.
