Kent Allen Schweder

Kent Allen Schweder, 77, of Walkerton, passed away peacefully in the late afternoon of Friday, November 22, 2024, at Brickyard Terrace Care Center in LaPorte, Indiana.

Kent was born on December 18, 1946, in LaPorte, Indiana, to the late Harold A. and Hazel Marie (Alwald) Schweder.  He grew up in the area.  He proudly joined the United States Army serving during the Vietnam conflict.  On May 8, 1982, in Walkerton, he married Rosemary Lowry who survives.  He is also survived by a brother, Kevin H. (Alecia) Schweder, of San Diego, California. 

Kent retired from Plygon Corporation in 2021 after 37 years of service.  He was an avid Chicago Bears and Notre Dame football fan.  His favorite hobby was playing a challenging game of chess and watching television.

Kent’s family is following his wishes to be cremated with no services at this time.
