  Lawrence “Ed” Morton, II, 53, passed away following an extended illness at Autumn Trace Assisted Living in Plymouth, IN with his brother, Lee and sister-in-law, Edna by his side.

   Ed was born in Columbus, OH to Lawrence Edward Morton and Barbara (Deal) Morton Balsley. Ed has been in the Plymouth area, only 10 days, coming from Phoenix.

   He is survived by his brother, Lee (Edna) of Grovertown and nieces and nephews: Zach (Kristen) Morton of Scott, IL, Anthony Morton, Jarryd (Brandee) Morton and Andrew (Toria) Morton all of San Antonio, TX, great nieces and nephews: Isaiah, Matthew, Lucy Morton of Scott, IL and Lainey Morton of San Antonio, TX. Ed was preceded in death by his father in June of 2021 and his mother in January of 2021 and his step-father, Robert R. Balsley in May of 2020.

  Ed worked as an electrician in the Phoenix, AZ area and loved to attend car shows and was avid lover of NASCAR.

  The family would like memorial contributions in Ed’s name to Heart to Heart Hospice, 620 West Edison Road, Suite 122, Mishawaka, IN 46545 or Mayo Clinic, 4500 San Pablo Road, Jacksonville, FL 32224.

   The family is following Ed’s wishes and cremation will take place.

  The Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel” handled arrangements and extends it’s deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to Ed’s family and friends.
