Lorraine B. Kuhn

Lorraine B. Kuhn, 74, of Lakeville, IN passed away unexpectedly at home during the morning hours of June 6th, 2022.

Lorraine was born in South Bend on June 29, 1947 to Murvin and Bea Shankle. On May 17, 1986 in Lakeville, she married the love of her life, John D. Kuhn.  She enjoyed traveling to new places, shopping with friends, doing crafts, and going to the local casinos. Her greatest joy came from being with her family.

                Lorraine is survived by her loving husband, John, along with her children, Tammy (Mike) Venable of Bremen, IN, Stephanie (Shavon) Taylor of Mishawaka, Brenda (Jose) Alvarez, Sylvia (Jeff) Grzegorek both of South Bend, Becky (Rudy) Garza of Mishawaka, and Mark (Ann) Taylor of Mishawaka. She was the loving grandmother of 13, and proud great-grandmother of 19. She is also survived by her siblings, Cheryl (Jon) Forizs of South Bend and Wade (Deb) Shankle of Deerwood, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Christine Amos.

                Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, June 8th from 4 until 8:00PM in the Hanley and Sons Funeral Home, 23421 State Rd. 23, South Bend, and one hour prior to the service at the church. A service honoring Lorraine will be held at 11:00am, June 9th in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Bremen, 605 S. Center St., Bremen with Rev. Roger Rohde officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Bremen Cemtery. Memorial contributions may be made in Lorraine’s name to either St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 605 S. Center St., Bremen, IN 46505 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
