Margaret A. (DeBaker) Forsey

Margaret A. (DeBaker) Forsey, 99, of South Bend, passed into eternal rest on Thursday, August 10, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Margaret was born on February 27, 1924 in Winnipeg, Canada, to the late Edmund and Gerarda (Overwater) DeBaker.  On July 12, 1947, in Winnipeg, Canada, she married Frank Forsey.  They shared 65 years of marriage together until his passing on June 25, 2013.  She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed every minute she spent with her family. 

Margaret is survived by her two sons, Glenn T. (Nancy) Forsey of Evergreen, CO, and Daniel A. (Susan) Forsey of South Bend and by three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister Elsie DeBates of Winnipeg, Canada.  She is preceded in death by her husband, by her son, Clyde R. Forsey, by her sister, Mary Page, and by her brother, Theo Debaker.

The family is following Margaret’s wishes to be cremated with no services.  In honor of Margaret, memorial contributions can be made to Traditions Hospice, 355 Park Place Suite 100, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
