Mary Lee Stull

    Mary Lee Stull, 81, of South Bend, passed away in her home on October 18th with her loving family by her side.

    Mary Lee was born on February 21, 1941, and raised in North Liberty, Indiana to William Bowers and Mary Kay (Wolfe) Bowers. On June 26, 1960, Mary Lee married Larry A. Stull, he passed away February 19th. She worked for the South Bend School Corporation for 20 years as a secretary at the Forrest G. Hay Elementary School. Mary Lee enjoyed traveling, cooking, and watching Notre Dame football, yet her greatest joy was being in the company of her loving family and friends. She enjoyed her monthly get togethers with her girlfriends in “The Club”, an avid supporter of her son’s local athletic pursuits, Service Guild Corp, and a volunteer at Logan Center. Mary Lee was also a member of the Hilltop Lutheran Church, where her services are being held.

     Mary Lee is survived by her sons, Dennis A. Stull of Bristol, IN, Douglas M. (Elizabeth) Stull of Chandler, AZ, Darrin C. Stull of Ft. Wayne, IN, her grandchildren, Ryan Stull and Laura Stull, along with brother, Chuck “Jeep” (Debbie) Bowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter in law, Clarissa and her husband Larry A. Stull.

    Friends may visit with Mary Lee’s family on Saturday, October 22nd from 10 until 11:00am in the Hilltop Lutheran Church. A service celebrating her life will begin at 11:00 with Pastor Alexa Kvande officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Eastlawn Cemetery in North Liberty. In lieu of flowers the family wishes all donations made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.

          Mary Lee’s family wishes to thank all of caregivers and hospice staff for all the love and exceptional care shown through this difficult time.
