Paul DuBois Obituary

Paul R. DuBois, 87, of Peru, passed away on Monday at the Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne. Paul was born in Mishawaka, on August 13, 1934 to Clyde and Tressa (Wiler) DuBois.

Upon completion of high school, he went on to serve his country proudly in the United States Air Force, and was honorably discharged. Paul worked as auto mechanic. He worked for Shepherds in Winamac for over 30 years. He was a jack of all trades, with a specialty in mechanics. On September 8, 1956 he married the love of his life, Donna Ann Coleman, in South Bend, Indiana. Paul and Donna enjoyed square dancing and traveling, did woodworking and carpentry and yet his greatest joy came from being with all of his family.

Paul is survived by his loving children, Paul Eugene (Avelina) DuBois of Goshen and Cheryl Ann (Doc) Milliken of South Bend. He was the proud grandfather of Matthew P. (Jessica) Villa; Adam Robert Villa, Justin Ryan Villa, Ryan C. DuBois, Jason R. DuBois and Issac Kristopher DuBois, and great grandfather to Nolan and Reagan. He is also survived by his brother, Kaye (Dawn) DuBois of Star City, IN, brother-in-laws, Harold (Beverly) Coleman of Mishawaka, James (Linda) Coleman of Niles, and Richard Coleman of South Bend, along with a sister-in-law, Bea Coleman. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna, his parents, a son, Clyde in 1977, and siblings, Delois “Lefty”, Melvina, Maxine, Ethel, Zale, and Don.

Friends may visit with the family from 4 until 8:00pm Sunday, August 22nd in the Hanley and Sons Funeral Home, 23421 State Rd. 23, and one hour prior to the service. A service celebrating Paul’s life will be held in the funeral chapel at 11:00am on Monday, August 23rd with Pastor Jason Bowyer officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Highland Cemetery of South Bend, next to his loving wife.
