Richard Weber Obituary

Richard A. Weber, 82, of South Bend, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, in St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Rich was born on July 21, 1943 to the late, Jacob and Rose Marie (Kantorski) Weber in Sewickley, PA. He is survived by his children, Richard Weber Jr. of New York City and Victoria Lynn Weber of St. Petersburg, Florida. Rich had them with his first wife, Barbara Mertz, He had no children with his second wife. Following the end of his first two marriages, he fell in love with his third wife, Sharon L. Lowe. They shared 25 years together, 14 ½ years happily married, being married on December 29, 2005. She preceded him in death on April 26, 2020. The other “love of his life” was their She-Poo, Khaki, who at the age of 12 ½ passed away 2 days after Sharon.

Rich grew up in Pennsylvania, graduating from Quaker Valley High School in Sewickley, PA. When he was 21, he moved to the Michiana area, attending IUSB to obtain a business certificate. Rich worked at AT&T, Indiana Bell and Ameritech for 29 years. Rich enjoyed days fishing or golfing, taking long bicycle rides or hitting the road on his motorcycle. He was a member of the Telecom Pioneers of America and the South Bend Elks Club.

As per Rich’s wishes no services are to be held at this time. Hanley and Sons Funeral Home is assisting Rich’s family with final arrangements.

‘My fishing, golfing and telecom friends have all passed, But I still had my kids, family (you all know who you are), and my widows. I’ve been through a lot, haven’t we all! I’ve had a good life and have no regrets…I love you all’ Rich
