Roger Allen Teske, 84, of South Bend, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Memorial Hospital on the morning of October 9th.
Roger was born in LaPorte, Indiana on August 27, 1940, to the late Allen T. and Dorothy (Fender) Teske. He was a Machinist for over 42 years, retiring from Adapto, Inc. On April 29, 1995, in South Bend he married Evelyn Baker (Kujawski). He was an automobile enthusiast who loved to work and tinker in his home shop. He shared that love with his children. He would always be willing to help those in need. Some of his greatest joy came from being part of any one of his Breakfast Groups, seeing as breakfast was his most important meal.
Roger is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Baker Teske, his children, Steve Teske of Mishawaka, Brian (Nikki) Teske of South Bend and Stacy (Michael) Dials of Fort Wayne, IN along with stepdaughters, Tamara (Michael) Baker Inwood of South Bend, Kimberly (Dewight) Keillor of Beech Grove, IN, and daughter-in-law, Sonia Teske of Nappanee, IN. He was the proud grandfather of 7; Bradley and Alex Teske, Justin (Jessica) Dials, Trevor (Mariana) Dials, Ellaina Bishop, Mitchell (Courtney) Baker-Beck, and Hannah Schmidt, along with being the great-grandfather of 8. He is also survived by his brothers, James Teske of Edwardsburg, MI, Charles (Becky) Teske of Lebanon, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Linda.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, October 12th from Noon until 2:00pm in the Hanley and Sons Funeral Home, 23421 State Road 23, South Bend. A service celebrating Roger’s Life will be held at 2:00pm with James Jones officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Westlawn Cemetery in North Liberty.
