Rosa Maria Rodriguez Gomez

Rosa Maria Rodriguez Gomez, 70, of South Bend, passed away on the evening of Wednesday, October 9, 2024.

Rosa was born on November 7, 1953, in Mexico City, Mexico to the late Jesus Rodriguez and Eva Evelia Gomez.  She moved to the area over twenty years ago.  She loved her family and spending time with them at family gatherings.   She enjoyed going shopping or just staying at home, with her beloved cat, Bichito, watching her favorite television show, Caso Cerrado.  She also liked singing especially to her beloved Beatles songs. 

Rosa is survived by her children, Maria Soledad Ayala Rodriguez and Eduardo Omar Ayala Rodriguez, by her grandchildren, Kenia Jackeline Schuck, Karen Daniela Velazquez, Edward Ayala Cedeño, and Adrian Ayala and by her great-grandchildren, Ares Kane Schuck, Amaya Luna Schuck, and Brasen Richard Lentz.  She is also survived by her siblings, Malena, Eva, Evelia, Angeles, Jesus, Lola, and Patricia Rodriguez Gomez.

Along with her parents, Rosa was preceded in death by her son, Romel Cirilo Ayala Rodriguez and by a grandchild, Karina Velazquez. 

We will always remember the moments we talked and laughed and all the love she gave to her entire family.  We will miss her very much.  She will always be in our hearts.

Rosa’s family is following her wishes to be cremated.  There will be a memorial mass for Rosa at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, October 21, 2024, in the St. Casimir Catholic Church chapel, 1302 Dunham St., South Bend, IN  46619.
