Ryan A. McCollister

   Ryan Allen McCollister, 43, of South Bend, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 2nd at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

  Ryan was born in South Bend on February 14, 1978 to James and Juanita (McClanahan) McCollister of Rolling Prairie, IN.

  He is survived by his parents, daughters, Briana and Alexandria and son, Ryan J. McCollister all of South Bend and his first grandson, Jayden McCollister-Neff, who is due in two weeks. Ryan is also survived by his brother, Shane McCollister of South Bend and his maternal grandmother, Leona McClanahan was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse McCollister in 2020 and maternal grandfather, Jerald McClanhan.

  He was employed at South Bend Clutch as a diesel tech. In his spare time Ryan enjoyed mud racing, golf cart riding, clay pigeon shooting, baking cookies but especially being with his loving family. He was a member of the Smoking Reaper Race Team.

  Ryan will be dearly missed by his loving family, numerous friends and the lives he touched throughout his life.

  In lieu of flowers, the family would like to have donations made in Ryan’s name to the donor choice.

  Visitation will take place, Tuesday, September 7th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel” located at 23421 State Road 23 at Ireland Road. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 8th at 11:00 AM. at the funeral home.
