Sierra Sue (Berger) Beach

Sierra Sue (Berger) Beach, 78, of South Bend, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023, in her home surrounded by her family. 

Sierra was born on January 22, 1945, in LaPorte, to the late Homer D. & Cora Bell (Pontious) Berger.  On July 4, 1963, in South Bend, Sierra married the love of her life Douglas W. Beach.  They recently celebrated 60 years of marriage. Together they raised two wonderful children.  Sierra was also a Cosmetologist for 25 years.  She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved nothing more then to spend time with them.

Sierra is survived by her husband, Douglas W. Beach of South Bend, by her daughter, Kimberly S. Beach of South Bend, by her son, Douglas D. (Sally) Beach of South Bend and by her five loving grandchildren, Brian Beach, Paige Beach, Shaun Beach, Evan LeGros, and Macey O’Connor and one great-grandchild, Khyzen Davidovic. 

There will be a funeral service on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel”, 23421 S. R. 23, South Bend, IN 46614 where friends may gather for visitation on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.  Burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sierra’s honor can be made to Pet Refuge, INC, 4626 S. Burnett Dr., South Bend, IN 46614 or to SouthernCare Hospice, 1626 E. Day Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
