Vincent Leodanski Jr. Obituary

Vincent Leodanski, Jr., 78, of South Bend, passed away in the afternoon of January 9th in Memorial Hospital.

Vincent was born in South Bend on July 10, 1946, to Vincent and Nettie (Kuberski) Leodanski. Upon graduating High School, he went on to serve proudly in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1966. He returned home and went to work at AM General. He worked there for 38 years. Vincent enjoyed finding deals at local garage sales, camping, working on cars, and tinkering with small engines. Many people will remember him for his sense of humor and the jokes he told.  He looked forward to yearly trips to Branson, Missouri, yet his greatest joy came from being with his loving family.

Vincent is survived by his sons, Vincent P. (Dena) Leodanski of North Liberty and Keven Leodanski of South Bend. He was the proud grandfather of 4, Kylee, Krystan, Vince and Eli. Vincent is also survived by his sisters, Josephine White of Elkhart, Janet Weaver of South Bend, and Viola Leodanski of Elkhart. Vincent also leaves behind his loving companion of over 35 years, Joann Sierman. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 sisters, Virginia Tirotta, Darlene Moore, Maryann Ames, and Delores Leodanski.

Friends may visit with Vincent’s family on Wednesday, January 15th from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel”, 23421 SR 23, South Bend. He will be laid to rest with military honors at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 16th, at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan.
