Vivian A. (LaGue) Woods, 93, of South Bend, passed into eternal rest on the morning of Sunday, May 19, 2024, due to an extended illness.
Vivian was born on January 5, 1931, to the late Harry and Emily (LaFortune) LaGue, in Fowler, Indiana where she grew up. In June of 1950, she married Harvey W. Woods, they spent 55 years together until his passing on March 29, 2006. In 1983, they moved to Georgia. Vivian eventually moved back to the area in 2019. She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed her time crocheting, reading a good book, or playing Bingo.
Vivian is survived by her son, David P. (Donna) Woods of South Bend and by her four grandchildren, Heather Woods, Nicole Woods, Kimberly Stafford, and Kyle Woods and was the great grandma of four.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Edward W. Woods, her sister, Margert Hobler, and by her brothers, Raymond and David LaGue.
It was Vivian’s wishes to be cremated. There will be a memorial service at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the Cathedral of Saint James Church, 117 N. Lafayette Blvd., South Bend, IN 46601. She will be laid to rest in Georgia at a later date.
